Blow Dry 101: Big and Sexy Waves!

Want voluminous hair? Now you can do it yourself!

Just follow my blow dry tips below and you can look like a celebrity!

Tools you need:

-1800w ionic blow dryer
-Three to five 1-1.5in round ceramic brushes
-Sectioning clips
-A paddle brush
-A rat-tail comb

Styling Products Used Here:  Moroccan Oil, Davines Defining Volume Mousse, and Davines Defining Glam Spray

After washing your hair, towel it dry to reduce excess water and start blow drying your hair until it is about 70% dry.

Apply Moroccan Oil mainly to your ends and on any damaged or dry parts of your hair.

Brush your hair from root to ends with a paddle brush to detangle the hair and start sectioning a single straight line down the middle from the crown to the nape - dividing the back of your head of hair in half.

Leave one and a half inches hanging down and clip the rest of your hair up in two sections.

Divide the bottom section of hair closest to the nape of your neck into two sections. We'll start here.

Now start blow drying this bottom section by holding the ceramic brush close to your scalp.

Concentrate on smoothing and drying your roots and following through to the middle of this section of the hair, working toward the ends.

Repeat this step until this bottom section of hair is fully dry and the brush is smoothly running through your hair.

Each time you finish drying a section, curl the section onto your brush and leave the brush sitting on your head. This will create extra volume and wave.

Continue working sections from the nape up the head to the top of your scalp.

When you run out of brushes, but still have more hair to style just remove a brush from the nape where you started and use it on the next section.

Be careful when removing the brush as your hair could be tangled in it. To avoid tangles it is very important to be neat and organized when rolling the brushes up to the base.

Once you remove the brushes you will see waves. Now the real fun begins!

You can tease starting from the top of the head, at the point where you want the most volume, to the nape and all the way around.

I love teasing!

But not everyone wants big glamorous hair so feel free to skip this step and just finish with Davines Defining Glam Spray and you are on your way.

Run your fingers through your hair gently to get a natural wavy look.

Motivate, educate and inspire yourself to look amazing and confident.
